Shary Parker Baldwin is a lifelong friend whom I’ve had the pleasure of growing up with in the good ole days in Chicago, Illinois. Though we did not agree on everything we always managed to stay close and supportive of each other’s endeavors. I cherish all the times that we have shared. I will always have a placed in my heart for Shary.
Mother Pat Dixon - This incredible personality was the very first Chairman of our Mother’s Board. Her capacity to love reached beyond the walls of the church and into the community. I will always cherish the insightful conversations and words of wisdom that we shared.
The Abundant Peace United Church of Christ has established the Nikki Woods Scholarship Fund in honor of this remarkable individual. Nikki pushed the boundaries of organized religion, ensuring that all individuals had a place at God’s Table no matter who they were. Her legacy will always be remembered. Nikki will always hold a special place in my heart.
AJ was a kind and loving spirit and knew no enemies. He served as one of my armor bearers, making sure that all my needs were met so that I could perform my weekly duties as Pastor. His love for God is unmatched. I will always cherish our conversations.
Deacon Betty, was an honorable and wise individual who spent her life giving back to serve humanity. She loved to share witness about the all-inclusive love of God. I will always cherish her loving devotion to God and the ministry of Abundant Peace UCC.

Whereas, our Akeem Johnson, affectionately known to all as AJ, was called from this life and his earthly labor on Monday, September 10, 2018, and
Whereas, Akeem Johnson professed a confident hope in Christ and demonstrated that hope by his example of faithful and compassionate living as a son to his mother, brother to his siblings and a blessing to his extended family members and
Whereas, he was an Armor Bearer to our Senior Pastor and a member of the Abundant Peace United Church of Christ, demonstrating the love and saving power of Jesus within his church and community, and
Whereas, Akeem Johnson’s influence extended beyond the confines of his community at the Abundant Peace United Church of Christ of Las Vegas, Nevada, as he was loved by all who knew him.
